My Dad would occasionally buy a dress for Mom, and once, he came home from a business trip with matching turtle print shirts, ties, a dress and skirts for everyone. (Family in-joke, but yes, we did all wear them to a barbecue!) After that, my mother wore hers and my sister and I wore ours as separate outfits with different tops, jackets, accessories, etc.
I don’t see why a husband shouldn’t buy a his wife a dress. He should save the tags and receipt just in case it doesn’t fit or it’s just not her style. Her husband should not get upset if she wants to exchange it.
Also, what’s wrong with the Raccolta and some incense?
Maybe my family was weird, but my mother usually bought all my father’s clothes.
