When does Lent end?

    • So does Lent actually end on Wednesday and Paschal Triduum not count as Lent? And what does this mean for Lenten resolutions if Lent technically ends on Wednesday?

    • The season of Lent is forty days.  Counting from Ash Wednesday (March 6th this year), and excluding Sundays, the fortieth day is April 19, Holy Saturday.

    I believe that technically, it ends at noon on Holy Saturday.

    I think that depends on if you're going by the pre-55 or post-55 liturgy.  The pre-55 liturgy ended around noon on Holy Saturday, because that's when the Easter Vigil services began.  The post-55 liturgy didn't start the Easter Vigil til 10pm on Saturday night, so not sure the fast ended before then.
