Go for a hike which any one can do.  And it costs nothing.  Go hiking with your wife.
It’s something you can do together.

You really don’t need alcohol and food to have a good time with others. Guys or girls night out is a lie.   People have been brainwashed into certain lifestyles.

Water sports can be expensive and dangerous.

Best thing is to pray hard, eat healthy, exercise and go to bed early to wake up early especially in a rural areas.

Not necessarily...long before mixed bars became popular, Catholics did have girls night and guys night out.
Christian Mother Archconfraternity in addition to their meetings had nights out for women only where they played games.
The Holy Name Society in addition to their meetings, a couple times a year had a men's night out, where they played cards etc. and yes booze was available.
There is nothing wrong with men and women enjoying time together with the same sex with activities that wouldn't be of any interest to their spouses.  It all depends on the activities.

Most women activities within the Catholic Church was during the day and it did not include drinks.

Many Catholic farmers and wives didn’t have time to go out at night because they had families to tend to. They had to get up early the next day to work.

Many Catholics can’t handle a few drinks.  And now many Catholics have turned to heroin, crack  etc.  St Patrick’s day has become a secular drinking holiday when it used to be a day of prayer and penance.

Choir, men’s groups or women’s groups involving laity or clergy involving booze and junk food many times have ended in adultery, fornification, lies,  sex abuse, hypocrisy, gluttony and other sins.  Same with these beef and beers and pocket book bingo.  Too much partying and not enough praying and teaching the gospel to their children. Many children leave the Catholic faith because their parents are lukewarm hypocrites living an unholy life.

Maybe we all should be getting together to pray the Rosary and read the Douay Rheims Bible more often.

And look at our society today. Too much celebrating instead of making sacrifices for our Lord, Jesus Christ.    The pseudo Catholic Church has abandoned God and His people.

We're obviously talking about to different things.

Women's activities were never during the day.  Neither were men's . They were always on a Friday or Saturday night.

I wasn't talking about farmers.  I lived in the city.

You make it sound like "many Catholics" can't handle a few drinks.  No more than any other religion.

You said, "Men's groups or women's groups end in adultery, fornication sex abuse" ...WHAT????  are they all ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ?????

I wasn't talking about praying the Rosary or any religious activity which Catholics do.  I was talking about Catholics SOCIALIZING with like minded Catholics...and there's nothing wrong with that.

Maybe my thoughts shouldn't always be expressed, but the quote

"All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy."  :jester:

came to mind.
