Makow indeed had good points here but his being not Catholic sometimes downplays the crucial teaching of Holy Mother Church - without which, any traditional Catholic can still be misguided. Hence, a traditional Catholic can never rely solely on his advice.
Makow has a very specific area of expertise -- he knows the ravages of Feminism very well, as well as a few related problems in the modern world.
He is a Jєω, however, not a traditional Catholic.
But we can certainly learn from him if we restrict ourselves to his area of expertise.
If you restrict your reading to saintly, traditional Catholics then I think our libraries would only have a bit of spiritual reading and not much more. We wouldn't know anything at all about the world.
So we must THINK and discern. Thinking is indispensable.
