  • I want to know whether you are sspxers or not.
If yes do you think it is sinful to read spiritual articles that exist on sede websites?

  • And, it depends on the spiritual article. If it's just a reproduction of something from a saint, it should be fine. If it's the writings of an actual sede, then it depends. I've more time for Fr Cekada than for the MHFM, for example.

  • LOL I'm sede - and unfortunately it's funny how that works both ways (is it sinful to read articles put out by the SSPX?) From my viewpoint, either side is fine so long as it conforms to the true Catholic faith - obviously there are theological differences between the two sides, but I really think both sides are trying to lead the faithful to God - I don't think of them as being two different religions (like I do tradition and the Novus Ordo).  I know that this would cause me to be accused of opinionism, but in my defence I have to say I personally know far too many good, good priests on both sides to think that reading their work is sinful purely because of whether or not they are SSPX or Sede.  If it is sinful then there are a lot of priests on each side that aren't doing their jobs in converting the "heretics" on the other.

  • I attend an SSPX chapel, and if I were to travel (this is very theoretical!) one of their chapels would be my first choice for Mass.

  • I'm what you would call a "Siri theorist" I guess you could say, which is, if you believe it, not a theory at all. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a link.

I am not sede vacant. I believe there's a pope somewhere, but it certainly is not Ratzinger.

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.
