If you could comment on the act of "abusing for good" what would you say as catholic? especially as a Trad?

I remember that as a child, I had to read many :turban: ic books at school. As a teenage,I knew about all impurity and bloody scences that they contained. But I really manged to reconcile them with the idea of absolute goodness and holiness of God. I would kiss the book that contained them.
Yet I know that many of you feel angry and nausa at those heresies.
But why not me?
Because our teachers succeded to convince us that just as a father damages the child "for his own good'", and as a doctor gives you pain and injection "for your own health", so could god kill, annoy, abuse people without losing his loveliness and holiness. :faint:

When we suffer it is for our own good, as hard as that may be sometimes to believe. That does not mean we should seek out hardships or inflict suffering on others, it means we must accept the crosses we are meant to bear in life as the Will of God.

Christ suffered on the Cross for our good, and our own sufferings are trials and tests that can purify us and help us to look to eternity instead of prizing this world too much.

As for parents who are cruel to their children, yes, unfortunately it happens a lot, but at the same time children must be taught to respect their parents and to respect others, this requires suffering consequences for misbehaviour.

I recall in college having to go to some seminar, where this bozo stated that all forms of physical discipline toward chidlren was abuse......guy is still writing last I heard.....crappola....
