Weird things catch on in different locations. I've seen visitors stand when everyone else kneels, and in Walton they stand all through the Sanctus even during low Mass, when tradition says we kneel at the Sanctus bell.

I don't see why? Even my 1955 missal tells me I should kneel for the jews. 

I'll let others smarter than me weigh in whether or not we should kneel for the 'pope'

Don't we kneel before God Himself when we pray for the Pope? I don't see anything wrong with kneeling here, even if some people think Leo isn't the Pope.

I sometimes wonder if not kneeling for them would be a sin because Pius XII was a True Catholic Pope and told us we need to kneel in honor of our Lord even at that prayer…

Yes, the only answer to this dilemma is that kneeling during this prayer is addressed to God and is not per se something bad.
