What causes ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity?
« on: February 10, 2015, 04:00:46 PM »
What does the Church teach?

I thought that ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity was a curse caused by demons which God allows to pervert the souls of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs as a punishment for sin, both personal and of society. Is that true?

I sin and I am not gαy.  I sin because I am man.  I seek forgiveness for my sins and strength to overcome temptation because I am Christian.  What causes ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity?  Well, it seems to me that it's a mental disorder.  Honestly, if you were to only look at the male and female as sɛҳuąƖ beings does ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity make sense?  No.  It's not my personal point of view.  It's based on fact... based on the "plumbing" so to speak.  We're told it's a choice.  Does choice make something normal?  I hope not.  Lots of bad choices being made in this world.  We're told "it's the way I was born".  OK.  People are born with all kinds of physical and psychological abnormalities.  Does that mean such things should not be treated?  I've never heard a defense of ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity that stood on firm ground and did anything to defy logic quite frankly.

Just a few comments on your response:

. I am not gαy.

ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs are not gαy either. We need to call these things by correct terminology and not use the language of the sodomists and their supporters. You are playing right into their hands by using their contrived verbiage.

You are right up to a point. ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity was indeed considered a psychiatric illness until it was removed from the medical textbooks.

On the other hand we have to careful about confusing sin with sickness, though of course one can and does lead to the other. But sickness is the result as opposed to the cause.

No, not OK! Nobody is ever born a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ. The only sin that any and every child is born with is original sin and that can be removed by Baptism. There are some people who have the sad misfortune to be born hermaphrodite, but this is not ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity.

Good comment, but I think you mean:
did anything to but defy logic quite frankly

Matto, I can refer you to the Courage site here. You might find it helpful:  http://couragerc.org/

St. Pius V "treated" them with a death sentence.

Sodomy is one of the Four Sins that Cry to Heaven for Vengeance. The inclination to sodomy is no more an "illness" than are inclinations to murder, oppression of the poor, or defrauding laborers of their wages.

And I wish to echo Nadir's wise counsel - Sodomites are the least "gαy" people on earth. We have another word for them - one that refers to a bundle of sticks fit only as kindling for the fire. That's a much better, much more appropriate word for them (the best, in fact, outside of the traditional term "sodomite").

And I don't think we ought to trouble ourselves overmuch about the "causes" of the inclination to sodomy, for to do so is tantamount to a tacit acceptance of the claim of the Sodomite Lobby that their inclination is some kind of defining, immutable, ontological "state." What is the "cause" of self-abuse, or pederasty, or bestiality, or necrophilia or any other abominable perversion of the generative act? Man's fallen nature (as Dolores points out) and demonic influence (as intimated in Matto's OP).
