On the vein of many posts here, an I imagine quite unpopular opinion I have is that I think a great deal of this modesty and sɛҳuąƖ stuff comes from 1800s affluent people.

You look at peasants in historically Catholic societies and women would:

- Have sex with their husband in the same room as their kids
- Wear cleavage (think Oktoberfest) and tie / tuck up their dresses into sort of shorts for comfort working and whatnot
- Pee in the street
- Hit on men and hang out with them for hours (single and alone)

And in general don't get me wrong it's a sin but in these societies it was more like "Oh Billy, my son, you and Maggy fornicated? That's unfortunate but what's done's done, get to confession and let's get y'all married and that's that."

I only ever see people talking about and beating themselves up over sɛҳuąƖ sins and it's like fellas there's another 8 commandments that are just as serious.
I'll add that regarding art you'd be shocked at how bawdy medieval literature and traditional folk songs are

Exactly. Shakespeare (who we know was a secret Catholic during turbulent times for Catholics!) included many risqué lines in his plays- Othello: Iago talks about Othello and Desdemona making ‘the beast with two backs’, Juliet’s nurse in Romeo and Juliet quips that Juliet will soon be ‘falling backwards’ when married. Etc etc…

Chaucer's the Miller's Tale makes Shakespeare look quite time.

You’re right!! I got the part of Wife of Bath when we studied it at school (as the only one willing to try to read the middle English!).

Agree 100% A lot of the ‘modesty’ some trads promulgate is actually Protestant and puritanical. Real trad Catholics have fun, party and drink! Also the women ride horses, show cleavage, dance, swear, hang out with men and even physically fight with other women sometimes!! They know right from wrong and adhere to the natural law: as you say they’ll maybe have sex before marriage , but will then make things right and actually get married, they value life and children, not ever considering murdering their baby.
Catholic women don't do the things you mentioned. Real Catholics such as the saints would disagree with you. And no falsely conflating partying and having fun with degenerate behaviour doesn't change that. It's not surprising you are lacking in morals since you allow your daughter to do immodest dancing, wear pants, and attend the fake indult mass.

Earlier you said there were threads where dancing was found okay. This was not the case. The threads showed with adequate evidence that dancing such ballet is IMMODEST. The fact you can't accept it is really telling of your lukewarm beliefs. It's really amazing how you have twisted the truth on these matters. You are a worse feminist than another female user on this forum.
