Plato believed that reading was actually bad for you. He favored oral societies over literary societies. He believed it adversely affected one's memory and made teaching impersonal. I suppose a modern equivalent is watching a YouTube video on how to fix your car versus someone in person actually showing you and doing it alongside of them.

Some trads have said that the invention of the printing press helped spread Protestantism. Before then, laity did not have access to missals and Scripture. Lay people got access to these and suddenly had the ability to attempt to interpret religion on their terms instead of being taught truths.

Hmm... 

1. I don't think dancing (except for women's dancing, lol) and pop music necessarily lead to sin. 2. I don't think eating chips or fast food is the worst idea. 3. Drinking and hanging out with friends help you relax. 4. I love Coke. 5. Not all Novus Ordo Catholics—or Catholics of other rites who accept the Second Vatican Council—are stupid liberals. 6. Brief kisses before marriage aren't the worst idea and aren't necessarily a sin (with some caveats). 7. The Puritanical sanctimony—manifested in the sourpuss expressions of traditionalists and all that "oh, we can't judge" talk—is irritating.

Completely agree with 3, 5, 6 and 7. 2 definitely not a sin but I don’t want to be fat!! 4 I hate coke but am sure ok in moderation (the sugar coke not the chemical sweetener one!)
I think everyone knows im a fan of dancing for both sexes but don’t want to start you all off again 😊🤣🙃

Ok mine are: I Love dancing for both sexes and enjoy pop, rock, country, loads of music styles (but not at Mass obviously and not some songs with nasty lyrics ). I wear trousers and think nothing wrong with women wearing trousers. I enjoy modern technology and don’t think it’s necessarily a danger to the faith-depends how it’s used. Lots of people have found tradition through the internet. Especially under 25s.
