  • Ever heard of a "hostile witness"? It's where you quote someone whose evidence tends to support YOUR argument or conclusion -- an argument the hostile witness would DISAGREE with, or in fact DID disagree with until his death.

But so many times I see normies focusing on that witness's opinion, as if that were all that matters -- nevermind the facts, or what the evidence shows logically.

    In a similar vein --

Do you all realize what "losing an argument" looks like? It's when you resort to logical fallacies. But especially annoying is when they say things like:

"Well, your argument seems to prove flat earth and I've got nothing. BUT if that were true, if that were the slam-dunk evidence that my brain tells me it is, then the Establishment would be Flat Earth, and they are not. Ergo you are wrong."

That is a classic case of appeal to authority fallacy. Why do people not care about objective truth and/or logic in current year?

Things that would have been eminently embarrassing -- as in "never show your face in the public light again" embarrassment -- are shrugged off with no shame at all by people today. Modern men are completely shameless. How do you shame someone who won't be shamed -- who is literally shameless?

Maybe they do, and maybe we are so miserably prone to error, that we still end up thoroughly convinced of our own opinions, even with the best and most honest of intentions.
