Having posted that I just read this.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/stories-56182987I do wonder whether these αnσnymσus stories are ever true however. It would be a lot easier for the journalist to just make them up so that they tick all of the boxes.
Notice that when they find a hetrosɛҳuąƖ example of artifical insemination they are able to find a couple of lesbians too, to normalise lesbians in the reader's mind.
The people are always αnσnymσus. They never seem to find a freak so proud that they want 15 minutes of fame, though these should be over-represented. People requesting anonymity have less reason to speak to mєdια in the first place.
Fabricating the story also has the obvious advantage that if in a few years time these children are abandoned, sɛҳuąƖly abused, murdered, the freaky evil parents cannot be connected to this type of article shilling for them. The BBC's fictional people never go on to drown their 5 year old in the bathtub or inject them with heroin.
Allows the BBC to escape the consequences.
