While I have Carrol's 'A History of Christendom' series, I have not yet even cracked the first book.

But I have read Carrol's 'The Guillotine and the Cross' about the French Revolution, and I would definitely recommend it.
As for the others... I've tried reading both Chesterton and Belloc, but I couldn't really get into them. I don't recall the books, but I only read a couple of chapters by either author and then lost further interest.
And while I have several books by Charles Coulombe, the only one I've read thus far is "Puritan's Empire." I thought that was a great read.
