Valid exorcism?

  • This video shows an Eastern Schismatic congregation, attacked by Protestants. Then something happened. It turned out that the Protestants were those who needed an exorcism.
Since we share many things with the schismatics, I'd like to ask whether their exorcisms are valid. Given they didn't tamper Sacramental Theology, their orders are valid. But would God permit exercising this power in state of heresy?

  • I'm not sure it is correct to think of an exorcism in terms of "valid" or "invalid."  Those phrases are usually reserved for the Sacraments.  A better question to ask might be whether or not the exorcisms of the Eastern Orthodox are effective.

  • I don't see why they wouldn't be effective.
Anyone can pray deliverance, so why couldn't the eastern churches do so as well?

" Be not therefore solicitous for to morrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof."
