  • Hi

There's a lot of talk recently about valid baptisms

I'm not worried about the wording of mine ...but the priest

He was sɛҳuąƖly abusing the altar boys in my church then went on the run to Australia and never gave himself up?

If the priest wasn't being a real priest, my baptism would be valid still? It was novus ordo too

  • An atheist or pagan can validly baptize.

  • As long as he had the proper intention of doing what the Church does with valid form it is valid. I would still recommend getting a conditional baptism just in case though.

  • Personal sin / perversion has no effect on the validity of a Sacrament.  I'd be more concerned about his being NO than about his being a pedophile ... from the standpoint of validity.

  • Ask the priest what baptism is? If he does not say about the removal of Original sin, then you got a problem.

    Why?

If a pagan who doesn't believe in original sin, redemption, Christ, or even God, can validly baptize, why would you be concerned about a NO priest?
