  • Whatever disagreement people may have with the Dimond Brothers, one should give them credit where credit is due.  Charity requires it.  Even if you don't agree with them on BoD or Sedevacantism, they put together one of the best short biographies of Padre Pio I've ever read.  Their apologetics booklet about how the Protestant Bible Proves Catholicism is a masterpiece.  I love their videos on Evolution, the errors of Orthodoxy, yes, the Magicians one as well, and also the one about Hell.  People have excoriated them for using St. Alphonsus without attribution.  Except that it's obvious they're using St. Alphonsus.  I find the video extremely moving and inspiring (to avoid sin).  But when they put the pictures and video with it, it has a profound effect that the text alone does not have.  I believe that if everyone watched that video once a week, they would all save their souls.  So what?  Do you think St. Alphonsus would care if someone used his work to save souls?  He gets the glory for it from God, the only type of glory that matters.  And it's not like the Dimond Brothers are making money off of it.  They make it available for free.  When I've ordered things from them before, just a small item for like $5, they threw in a bunch of others stuff for free where I believed they were losing money on the deal.  They send out those apologetics booklets in bulk for probably less that what it costs to print them.

There are a lot of people who hate the Dimond Brothers for various reasons, but it's not acceptable to carry that grudge into criticizing them over EVERYTHING.  There are some people that just feel they constantly need to "hate on" them, where they can do no good, and that attitude is decidedly un-Christian.  Yes, they had a tendency towards bitter zeal, but I mentioned that instead I pray for them about that, and I've noticed a significant softening in the past year or so.  If we see faults in our brothers, we pray for them, and don't go around ripping them to shreds over it out of spite ... while failing to see the beams in our own eyes.

I agree with this post. It's completely balanced. The Dimonds are hit and miss for me, as I do not hold their position on BOD/BOB. Nor do I concede that they are correct on the Church history timeline; nor that they have correctly named JPII the antichrist. But some of their work is astoundingly good. The one on magicians is a masterpiece. People who do not believe what is going on with adepts of the magical arts, are ignorant of reality. My only critique of that film, is the part where they play the attempt of David Copperfield to ensnare/hypnotize/possess his TV audience, via the electromagnetic waves. I think it is prudent never to look directly into the eyes of these monsters, magicians, and charismatic sorcerers, even if you watch them on TV or online. The Dimonds could have reported on that without playing the footage.

Regarding the charismaniacs, that one monster, Copeland. WOW!!!! Don't look at his eyes! And how about that laughing demoniac? Creepy!!!!! And that possessed, tongue-flicking hag Kathryn Kuhlman! Whoa!! I watched a couple of vids of her. Straight out of Central Casting. Also that fat slug with all the tattoos tried to do something over the EM waves. Nasty! Tricksy! False!!!

But can you tell me which St. Alphonsus video you are speaking about? I'd like to watch it. Thanks.

  • I was confused by McCoy's post at first, and even disturbed because I really like Bp. Roy. But she is actually talking about Ripperger, I think. That does not address the accusation of calumny; only I would not have you laboring under a factual mistake.
Fr. Ripperger was never affiliated with the SSPX.  He was ordained for the FSSP.

One shouldn’t go online and state that a priest you don’t even know is possessed regardless of  what you’ve heard from a couple of your relatives.  I don’t take such statements seriously.  In fact, I laughed.  :laugh2:  (If a priest is possessed, why are your relatives friends with him?)

Some folks take everything they read online as true, so be sure you indicate you’re being facetious or stating something in jest.

Thanks for the correction.  McCoy should have checked his facts before posting that comment.  Things have a way of spreading around on the internet.

Yes, I'd agree.  There was one scene in which the guy was reading incantations from a "Dark Magic" book, and they probably should have blocked that out also.  I know they blur out immodesty, but some of these things should also be "edited" somehow.

I know that Taylor Marshall and others post pictures of either grave immodesty or blasphemy ... in order to criticize it of course.  But if grave immodesty is wrong, aren't you participating in the evil of it by simply showing it?  It's wrong largely because you're making people see it (wouldn't be very wrong if you were dressed like that in your own apartment with no one around).  It's harmful for people to see or hear those things, and yet you're subjecting them to seeing them?  I think he does it because it's "sensationalistic" and get him more viewers.
