The Garabandal apparition was actually endorsed by the late Fr. Malachi Martin

I like Fr. Malachi Martin, but there are some things I disagree with him on. That's one of them.

Do you have any sources you can cite on this?

It was never endorsed by the Church though its event was superceded by Akita which was approved by the Bishop of Akita

What connection (if any) does Garabandal have with Akita?
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

Who cares if it's endorsed by M. Martin or even Padre Pio?  They're not infallible.
We need to stop putting too much trust in MEN & only put our trust in Holy Mother CHURCH.

...Or if it's endorsed By Bp Williamson ...or WHOEVER.

    Thorn is right.

I don't recall the details, but I remember hearing some facts about the seers' actions that were very odd and much unlike anything of previous apparitions or stories of the Saints. Wasn't walking backward one of their actions?

Apparently one of the seers' is coming to a local chapel soon. I'm sort of torn on whether to attend or not. I'm praying about it, but also welcome input.

    Attend.  Spy.  And report back.

I did that once at a Bayside groups meeting. I think I was the only one not wearing a blue beret.   :whistleblower:

  • I don't believe that Padre Pio endorsed Garabandal.
