    • UPDATE: We also produce skirts and dresses for GIRLS from re-purposed clothing items!

    We can take a girls' shirt and turn it into a cute, modest dress in coordinating colors!

    Of course, we can make panel- and curtain-style skirts for girls of any age out of jeans and pants as well, but imagine finding lots of pretty shirts or blouses at a great price and lamenting the fact that skirts and dresses for girls are not only hard to come by, but EXPENSIVE if you can even find suitable ones!

    Now, you don't have to! Simply send us those 3/4-sleeve, long-sleeve, even SHORT-sleeve shirts, and they can be turned into ADORABLE girls' dresses!

    (Obviously, sleeveless shirts could be turned into dresses as well, but we won't use any shirts that don't cover the upper arms.)

    Naturally, we encourage parents to make sure that their children's clothing choices don't leave anything indecent exposed (like so many of the things out there for children these days!), but these dresses are a GREAT way to ensure that your little ladies can have pretty, modest clothes at prices that you can afford!

    Forget trying to go to the clothing stores or department stores... why dig through the discount racks only to find one thing here or one thing there in shirts, and then have no appropriate skirts to wear them with? Never mind trying to find DRESSES or SKIRTS that are modest! These manufacturers don't seem to KNOW those words anymore! Even "FIRST COMMUNION" dresses are sometimes sold WITHOUT SLEEVES or TOO SHORT!

    We want to make a BIG statement among young girls in this day and age... we want the world seeing committed Catholic families out and about with their young ladies in UNIQUE, ONE-OF-A-KIND dresses and skirts that defend their MODESTY while showing the world what a LADY should look like!

    •  :dancing-banana:I love it!  Is it made from pants?  No!  Or is it?  I'd like one with inside pockets, not "jeans" denim.  I cannot wear denim to work, even in jumper or skirt form.  Need a + size.

    So we just sent you clothing we are not using and you can make it into a modest skirt or dress for our little girls?  We cover the arms and the skirt or dressgoes to the ground.  They grow quickly.

    • LOT,

    Yes, you can send us clothes that you're not using, or items you find at yard sales, etc.

    T-shirts, henley-style shirts... whatever shirts you would put your girls in to be out and about in can be turned into a fun, pretty dress.

    You can certainly choose ankle-length, calf-length or (below the) knee-length for each dress.

    If you're sending us shirts to be made into dresses for younger girls, of course, we recommend longer lengths; not only do those little girls grow quickly, it's my experience that younger girls tend to forget themselves a little more easily, and we wouldn't want their modesty accidentally compromised! Longer dresses help when they're learning to sit or climb stairs properly.

    If we are using short- or "cap"-sleeved shirts, we would encourage you to make sure your ladies have a wrap or other cover-up if you feel too much of their arms are exposed.

    When we make dresses out of shirts that we procure from various sources, we try to make sure that even "short" sleeves are long enough to reach the elbow if at all possible.

I was working nearly 70 hours a week until I was fired from my job; in caring for a home-schooled brood, my wife had her hands so full with school AND chores AND cooking AND everything that I couldn't do (not being home) that she had very little time to sew.

    Our Lord has seen fit to change that aspect of our lives, and our little clothing efforts will be in full swing very soon!
