I managed it, but I was used to being the weird kid who didn’t fit in and who didn’t really care.  As an adult, I’ve not changed. For some professions, a university degree is necessary, unless you believe Catholics, like Amish, the Mormons, and JW’s should limit themselves ton blue collar and poorly paid manual labor?
The original universities were all Catholic.
Should we not reclaim our status as leaders of intellect and applied knowledge?

I do, absolutely! However I have recently been pondering alternative solutions to the systemic crisis in modern education. Maybe it is more useful to work around the liberal system, and put the preponderance of our efforts into creating intermediary institutions such as farms, schools, guilds, credit unions instead? I think working through the system has been tried and has ultimately failed. Maybe working round the system will eventually engulf it? Not so sure, but was just a thought and I am open to other possibilities.
