Title: Uncle Sam Wants You
Post by: klasG4e on April 13, 2018, 07:58:58 PM
Just sign on the dotted line.  Only 8 years of your life (and can be extended if country at war).

I support the duty of a state to have a strong, and glorified military, to teach the build the strength and character of young men, and invigorate the general populace.  I just don't support the American military, because they're terrible, and fight for Israel's interests.

Just as the public schools in America openly promote sɛҳuąƖ immorality so does the United States military -- porn in the px and brothels (wink-wink) around the world are just 2 examples.

ROTC is a good opportunity for many young men. You graduate an officer with guaranteed pay, housing, and medical benefits for a future family.

Has there ever been a military deployment area without access to a brothel in all of history?

Has there ever been a military deployment area without access to a brothel in all of history?

Your question is so broad that I believe the most reasonable assumption would be yes starting with at least some areas of deployment in the arctic regions as well as some areas of deployment in predominantly Muslim countries.

That said -- and if you do not agree with my assumption -- I would welcome you to present your question in terms of more precise terms starting with the number of military deployed and the length of the time deployed.

In Vietnam, for example (and I am speaking here from personal observation and more) there were various military deployment areas without ready access to any brothel.  That's not to say, the military ignored the "problem."  They had regular R&R flights to Bangkok, Thailand and Taipei, Taiwan.  There our fine young American lads would engage in more or less non stop sɛҳuąƖ and drinking mortal sins for about 6 or 7 days until they boarded their plane back for Vietnam to finish up their tour.

In terms of the U.S. military and access to brothels, there are two things to consider from the git go: 1) What the official policy of the Defense Department is concerning allowing access of its military to domestic, or more commonly foreign, brothels, and 2) What is the on the ground reality of whether there is any type of serious adherence to any type of restrictive policy if indeed there is any type of restrictive policy.

I support the defense of America (USA) up to, AND NOT EXCEEDING,  my own property line. AND I fully support every other American who defend their own property lines.  As taken collectively, every American defends America, BUT ONLY up to their own, God-given property lines. A man’s home is their castle,  and I support this right without question and as absolute. Christian charity may oblige me to share in my neighbor’s defense, but defending my own property and family, COMES FIRST, is absolute, and comes with no pre-conditions.

ROTC is a slick talking propaganda arm of the U.S. military-industrial complex which in turn is overseen by our ʝʊdɛօ-Masonic government.  A traditional Catholic should have nothing to do with freely joining up in the U.S. military where he will be subject to a very immoral forced environment and where he may well be be expected/commanded to engage in criminal, immoral, and unjust wars.  Divorce rate is higher in the military than in society as a whole where it is already very bad news.  Guaranteed pay, housing, and medical benefits are the enticement to lure our young American lads and ladies into a very anti-Christian organization.

So What? Christians (https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/12/laurence-m-vance/so-what-christians/)
By Laurence M. Vance (https://www.lewrockwell.com/author/laurence-m-vance/?ptype=article)

Thanks to a note from a preacher friend, I think I’ve discovered a new type of Christian: the So what? Christian.
I have written many times about Christian jihadists, Old Testament Christians, Christian armchair warriors, theological schizophrenics, Christian Coalition moralists, nuclear Christians, Janus Christians, evangelical warvangelicals, Catholic just war theorists, reich-wing Christian nationalists, theocon Values Voters, imperial Christians, pro-lifers for mass murder, Red-State Christian fascists, bloodthirsty Christian conservatives, beam Christians, nuclear Christians, Christian Coalition moralists, double-minded Christians, Christian warmongers, God and country Christian bumpkins, sniper theologians, Christian military idolaters, conservative Christian militarists, and members of the Christian axis of evil.
The So what? Christian, when presented with some negative assertion about the U.S. government, the U.S. military, U.S. wars, or U.S. foreign policy, instead of inquiring as to its validity, doing some research, or spending more than three seconds thinking about it, dismisses it with “So what?,” usually followed by some ridiculous statement.

Here are some examples.
The U.S. military has bombed Afghan wedding parties: So what? The bride and groom were going to produce potential terrorists.
The U.S. military has killed thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan: So what? They are just collateral damage.
The United States gives billions of dollars a year in foreign aid to Israel: So what? The Jєωs are God’s chosen people.
The U.S. military has a thousand overseas military bases: So what? America is the exceptional nation.
U.S. drone strikes regularly miss their targets: So what? America makes no apologies.
The United States has been fighting in Afghanistan longer than against nαzι Germany: So what? It is better to fight “over there” instead of “over here.”
The real defense budget is around a trillion dollars: So what? The military keeps us safe.
The Pledge of Allegiance was written by a socialist minister. So what? America is still one nation under God.
The U.S. military kills innocent Muslims that were no threat to the United States: So what? All Muslims are terrorists.
Inmates at Guantanamo are being held indefinitely with neither charge nor trial: So what? Terrorists don’t need trials.
U.S. soldiers have committed war crimes: So what? There’s always a few bad apples in every bushel.
U.S. soldiers recite filthy cadences in basic training: So what? I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
The U.S. military pays sports teams for patriotic displays and troop tributes: So what? God bless America.
The United States is increasing military actions in Africa: So what? America is the greatest country in the world.
The U.S. military keeps brothels open overseas: So what? The troops are defending our freedoms.
A preemptive war against Iraq was wrong because Iraq was no threat to the United States: So what? There is “a time of war” (Ecclesiastes 3:8
Thousands of U.S. soldiers died unnecessarily in Iraq and Afghanistan: So what? There is no greater honor than to die for your country.
Military recruiters lie to impressionable young people: So what? There is nothing more noble than military service.
Veterans are committing ѕυιcιdє at an alarming rate: So what? They should not feel guilty for anything they did while in service to their country.
The U.S. military is increasingly being filled with women, ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs, lesbians, and transgenders: So what? There is no higher calling than military service.
The U.S. military and intelligence services have tortured people: So what? As long as it saves the life of one American.
The U.S. military has created tens of thousands of widows and orphans in Iraq and Afghanistan: So what? The terrorists who kill Jєωs are Muslims.
The U.S. military killed millions of Vietnamese in the Vietnam War: So what? The only good communist is a dead communist.
The U.S. military has bombed seven Muslim countries over the past few years: So what? Islam is a false religion.
The United States hasn’t constitutionally declared war on any country since World War II: So what? Romans 13.
War is the greatest destroyer of civil liberties: So what? Civil liberties are the concern of leftists.
The U.S. military is a bombing, maiming, and killing machine: So what? The LORD is a man of war (Exodus 15:3).
It is shameful that some conservative Christians have this So what? attitude. It is even worse when this mindset is followed by ridiculous statements that display their willful ignorance.

Unless you're willing to go over to the Ukraine and fight against modern imperialism, there's not really many other ways a young man can learn how to fight effectively, in settings other than your basic self-defense situation.  I mean there are groups, but they mainly exist outside of the US.

According to Today’s Military (https://todaysmilitary.com/about-us)—a Department of Defense (DOD) website “developed as a resource for young adults, parents and educators curious about military service” that “is not intended as a recruiting tool for any branch of the U.S. Military” (yeah, sure):
Quote
Founded in 1916, ROTC stands for Reserve Officer Training Corps. It’s a college program offered at over 1,700 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. Military. In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, cadets commit to serve in the Military after graduation.
Each branch of the military has its own ROTC program. Relevant to BJU, as we shall see, is the Army’s and the Air Force’s ROTC:
Quote
Army ROTC is one of the most demanding and successful leadership programs in the country. The training a student receives in Army ROTC teaches leadership development, military skills and career training. Courses take place both in the classroom and in the field and are mixed with normal academic studies. Additional summer programs, such as Jump School, may also be attended. Upon completion, an Army ROTC graduate is awarded officer status in the Army.

The Air Force ROTC mission is to produce leaders for the Air Force and build better citizens for America. Headquartered in Montgomery, Ala., the Air Force ROTC commands 145 units at college and university campuses throughout the United States. Air Force ROTC offers a four-year program and a three-year program, both based on Air Force requirements and led by active-duty Air Force officers. Courses are a mix of normal college classes and Air Force ROTC curriculum, which covers everything from leadership studies to combat technique. Upon completion, a student enters the Air Force as an officer.
Founded in 1927, Bob Jones University (BJU (https://www.bju.edu/)) is a Christian liberal arts university in Greenville, South Carolina, with around 3,000 students. Its stated mission is:
Quote
Within the cultural and academic soil of liberal arts higher education, Bob Jones University exists to grow Christlike character that is scripturally disciplined, others-serving, God-loving, Christ-proclaiming and focused above.
One would think that BJU and ROTC would have nothing in common. After all, BJU is a “Christian fundamentalist educational institution” that believes “in the inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and the New Testaments)” and ROTC staffs the U.S. military—the president’s personal attack force staffed by mercenaries willing to obey his latest command to bomb, invade, occupy, and otherwise bring death and destruction to any country he deems necessary.

Think again.

As a Christian liberal arts higher education institution, BJU seeks to “educate the whole person through a biblically integrated liberal arts curriculum” and “equip individuals with a biblical worldview and with the ability to defend that worldview.” As a Christian higher education institution committed to helping Christian students grow in Christlikeness, BJU seeks “to teach individuals to apply the Scriptures to practical Christian living,” “to develop individuals who are committed to Jesus Christ as Lord, who are engaged in service and leadership in a biblically faithful local church, and who have a compelling concern for reaching the unconverted with the Gospel.”

ROTC helps students to enter the U.S. military as an officer. The U.S. military is a bombing, maiming, killing machine. It invades and occupies other countries. It is a widow and orphan maker. It helps to carry out an aggressive, reckless, and belligerent U.S. foreign policy. It engages in offense and calls it defense. It fights foreign, immoral, unnecessary, senseless, and unjust wars. It is the policeman of the world. It destroys foreign industry, culture, and infrastructure. It unleashes sectarian violence around the world. It takes sides in cινιℓ ωαrs. It fights wars that have never been constitutionally declared. It spreads democracy at the point of a gun. It garrisons the planet with troops and bases. It commit atrocities and war crimes. It kills civilians and calls it collateral damage. By its actions, it creates terrorists, insurgents, and enemies of the United States. There is nothing positive about it. It is a global force for evil.

So, what possible connection could there be between BJU and ROTC?

After the resignation of Stephen Jones (who once said that he didn’t think he had a political bone in his body)—great-grandson of the founder of BJU, Bob Jones Sr.—the BJU Board of Trustees named Steve Pettit the school’s fifth president on May 8, 2014. Pettit is a graduate of both The Citadel (a U.S. senior military college) and BJU and is a child of Air Force parents.
In the May 2018 issue of From the President—a “Newsletter from the President of Bob Jones University”—there is a “Message from the President” on the first page:
Quote
One of my initial goals when I became BJU president was achieved this spring with the U.S. Air force and U.S. Army approved BJU student participation in Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) beginning with our fall 2018 semester.
BJU has seen a growing interest in ROTC. In the last five years, well over 200 prospective students and their parents have inquired about ROTC, and this academic year nearly 100 current students have talked with Air Force and Army recruiters on campus. With this interest, as soon as we received regional accreditation last year, we began aggressively pursuing ROTC approval.
BJU has entered two crosstown partnerships—the first with Air Force ROTC Detachment 770 hosted by Clemson University. BJU joins Southern Wesleyan University, Tri-County Technical College and Anderson University, becoming the fourth crosstown partner in Clemson’s program. The second agreement is with Furman University by which our students, along with students from North Greenville University, will participate in Furman’s U.S. Army Paladin Battalion.

These crosstown agreements provide our students a variety of options for military service, including military leadership as commissioned officers and active reserves, and our students will gain superb leadership experience that aligns with our emphasis on leadership development.
We are grateful to both Clemson University and Furman University for including BJU in their crosstown partnerships. I’m also thankful for the encouragement and assistance South Carolina Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, along with Congressmen Trey Gowdy and Jeff Duncan, provide during the process.

Students apply directly to the Air Force and Army for admission into ROTC programs. To assist students, we’ve set up an on-campus ROTC office where recruiters meet with students and assist them through the application process. We’ve also designed retired U.S. Navy Commander Al Carper—faculty member—as campus ROTC advisor.
Why would a conservative Christian institution, whether it be a church or a school, facilitate young people joining an unholy institution (https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/07/laurence-m-vance/military-unholy-institution/) like the U.S. military? And especially today’s military, where—in addition to its mission of intervening, bombing, maiming, and killing—sɛҳuąƖ assaults (https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/sɛҳuąƖ-assault-reports-u-s-military-reach-record-high-pentagon-n753566) are rampant (including male on male (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2015/03/20/male-on-male-sɛҳuąƖ-assault-in-the-military-not-addressed-enough-and-hard-to-fix-investigation-finds/) assaults), pornography (https://fightthenewdrug.org/massive-porn-problem-us-military/) is widespread, women (https://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/04/us/politics/combat-military-women-ash-carter.html) serve in combat roles, ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2014/10/31/the-u-s-militarys-long-uncomfortable-history-with-prostitution-gets-new-attention/) and transgenders (https://www.military.com/daily-news/2018/03/23/new-trump-transgender-military-policy-bars-those-gender-dysphoria.html) serve openly, LGBT Pride Month is celebrated in June of each year by the state department (https://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2018/06/282908.htm) and the military (https://www.facebook.com/groups/MilitaryLGBTPrideMonth/), male Navy sailors secretly film (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/12/03/navy-women-secretly-filmed-in-shower-aboard-sub/19860475/) female sailors undressing and bathing, military chaplains (https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/same-sex-marriage-ruling-extends-all-u-s-military-bases-n382601) marry same-sex couples, and U.S. soldiers support a network of brothels (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2014/10/31/the-u-s-militarys-long-uncomfortable-history-with-prostitution-gets-new-attention/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.07ba473976c4) around the world.
BJU should be focused on training young people for Christian ministry, not the military.
