1. Did he really do it because he believes churches are essential (after having allowed them to be considered non-essential for months)
2. Did he do it because he wanted to maintain the appearance of governmental authority after he saw the Catholic bishops of Minnesota reassert their rights ... ?
Very good question Sean.

My question is:

Did he really do it because he believes churches are essential (after having allowed them to be considered non-essential for months)

Taking into consideration

his strong stand for God and for nationhood at the demonic U.N.,

and his strong stand for God and "Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior" every Christmas,

and his strong stand against PP,

and his being the ONLY president to attend the D.C. Pro-life march on Jan 22,

and the flack he will take from the media,

I think his action is genuine.

I think trump always saw the shutdowns as pretty silly (we see signs of this) and certainly he never believed in semi permanent shutdown like the leftists do.  I also think he understands church has a necessary societal role.  I don’t believe, of course, that he’s an integralist or that he holds to Catholic social teaching

and his strong stand against PP,

I have heard the claim that in 2018, planned parenthood received more federal funding than in any previous year, over 600 Million dollars. Do not know if this is true. I have also heard people claim that Trump is defunding PP. Don't know where the truth is, though it seems to me that the Republicans claim to be pro-life, and because of this we are supposed to loyally vote for them every election, but never do much to actually make abortion illegal. If they are truthfully not pro-life and only pretend to be for the conservative vote, then it would seem that they are no better than the Democrats, and perhaps worse because they would be hypocrites.

Honestly, I expect the Democrats to round me up and throw me into the FEMA camp and the Republicans to lock the gate behind me and serve as the guards.

I mean a hundred years ago Chesterton told us that the liberals are going about destroying society and the conservatives are there to make sure none of the wounds are ever healed. Perhaps it was a joke but I find it to be true. And now a century later, does anyone think it is getting any better than it was back then?
