  • I am familiar with Opus Dei and their philosophy of work and their evenings of reflection once a month, retreat houses, and plan of life (spiritual reading, rosary, morning and evening prayers, meditation). They also try to offer up their work for their intentions.
They also have conservative NO Masses.

However, obviously, they are impregnated with the theology of VCII, although they have a conservative interpretation and traditional morals. Of course their numerary and supernumerary system is sort of crazy, but that's beside the point.

My question is, what Traditional resources are out there to help me, as a layperson with a job to incorporate my faith into my everyday life? I'm looking for a sort of Trad version of Opus Dei. Opus Dei is good about providing resources to help their members live their Faith day to day focusing on their spouse, children, job, etc. and also incorporating prayer and the plan of life into their days. Is there a way I can do this same thing except with more Traditional theology? Thanks!

  • That depends on where you live?

Meaning, can't you find a Traditional Catholic chapel, with a priest not connected with the novus ordo; or do you prefer to sit on the fence?

Personally I think time is getting shorter and shorter for even the youth these days.  Time to take the bull by the horns and get the job done.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • There are trad Franciscan and Dominican Third Orders, and the SSPX has one as well.  I don't know if the CMRI does, but I expect they have something like it.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir
