  • No, I did NOT delete myself. I would never do that.

I never received a warning from ANY of the moderators. Neither has any of them e-mailed me as to why this was done.

It was done under cover of darkness, with no explanation -- for a reason.

They don't want to hear the truth over at FE -- too many of them are interested in silly stuff, shallow stuff, having fun, and pop culture.

There are some good people still over there, and I was hoping to help them by continuing to post there. But now I can't do that anymore.

Wow, I'm suprised it took that long ;-).

I now affectionately call that site "Fishbeaters" because of how the owner and mods beat up traditionalists that don't meet their agenda.

     :boxer:

    Peace be with you.

  • I laugh so I won't cry. You're so right about that.

I hope you'll stick around, Miserere. We're getting a nice crew on here :)

  • Yeah, Fisheaters used to be a really awesome place. I can remember first coming there roughly two years ago, even before I had signed up. There used to be a lot more serious debate/discussion about important trad issues then than there is now. Of course, I'm somewhat guilty myself of contributing to the recent 'sillyness' that goes on there, but I miss the olden forum of yore.

  • Well even I enjoy a good laugh, and that isn't what I was complaining about.

It's that for some people, that's ALL they care about. They don't want to discuss Catholic ways of living, how to be more perfect, etc.

They're more "I'm a sinner. That won't change. We're supposed to have some fun here on earth. So let's go!"

And here I am trying to live a Catholic life in this messed up modern world, and could use some companionship/advice/support on my journey.

Some people think that if it's not a question of sin, then it completely doesn't matter. But there are FEW things in life that really "don't matter at all".

  • I can discuss sports, TV, popular music, and travel with almost anyone I know. What I look for in a solid Catholic forum is a place to discuss that which I cannot easily chat about with the neighbors.

Well, to be fair, traditional Catholics are people too. Personally, I'd rather discuss these things with someone who shares the same worldview as I do. But then again, I wouldn't want to discuss these things to the exclusion of other, more important things.
