    • Jeffrey Liker wrote a book about Toyota's management principles. The first principle is as follows.
     
    Principle #1: “Base your management decisions on a long-term philosophy, even at the expense of short-term financial goals.”

    This wakes me up. In retrospect, I have wasted a lot of my time because I have not based my decisions on my long term goals -- eternal salvation etc. Whenever I do not align my actions and decisions with my long term goals, I am wasting my time.
