  •   What would you do if someone keeps on emailing and telling you that s/he has to see you because his/her biggest wish is to see a "Christian"?

  • I'd ask to what end does he wish this sight.

First of all, is this a guy or a girl? Well, assuming this person is a Muslim, would they have any motive for trying to convert you? And have you met them before? Are they related? And if its a male, and since you're a female, and considering how many Muslim's feel about 'Christian' women, based on what they may see on TV, do you think this could be dangerous?

If someone wanted to 'see' me because I would Christian, I would want to know their motivation. So far, you either don't know it, or you haven't mentioned it yet.

  • I would be weirded out and would send them the address to the nearest Christian church so they can go and see all the people they want. Then I would block their email. Not that I'm not open to conversion but it sounds like this is someone you don't know who is harrassing you (? that's what "keeps on emailing" reads to me) and were I a single female like yourself I would be very cautious. There are many other safer outlets for people of goodwill to convert.

Hope I didnt start that

There are lots of christians which is kind of a vague term. As far as someones desire to see or meet a chrisitian that seems a bit odd. Personally I seek to meet trad catholics due to my out in the bush challenge. Honestly though slow in steady wins the race and these things take time. Your acquaitance should give you the reasons for this desire of meeting a christian maybe he just wants to meet you and fiqures his religious convictions would be a great excuse to hook up.

If you at all feel uncomfortable just politely tell him or her which priest or church they  could contact and any questions just consult your local catholic catechism :reading:

Fulton sheen is a great catholic christian get them to watch a u tube video clip. Not sure what this emailer is all about. Stay cautious and stay safe. If the thought ever crosses your mind to meet always bring buddies and always choose public places and daylight hours.

    Hope that helps,

    Your friendly canadian :farmer:

  •   You are right. Thanks all of you. You know, when one registers in a forum and checks ''christian'' in their public profile thing like that happen..........
Specially when that forum shows you email to everybody. Then everybody PMs and says they have questions, want to know Christianity better, are tired of everything else, want a free religion, want a easy-to-get girl, want to marry etc. and it is obvious that they must be rejected.
And yet some of them say they want to convert and they can be wolf in sheep's cloths. I will do as you all said. If they are honest then God will see to it.
Watching too much Hollywood makes people think that christian means easy-to-get. :tv-disturbed:  :fryingpan:

  • Stay away, it's a very odd request, and a very odd way of requesting it.

    I will pray for you.

  • I agree with what others on this thread have stated. Stay away from whoever that is, Spouse of Jesus. I, too, shall pray that you will stay safe.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

I would assume it is a scam, like those people who say their father was the president of Nigeria and needs your bank account to wire $33,000,000 into.
