  • I stopped getting the Catholic newspapers such as "alive" "the universe" "the Irish catholic" "messenger" because the quality of the articles is really atrocious. All there is is the same sentimental feminized message always about "the peoples pope" and the fruits of Vatican 2. There is never a warning to the people who read them of the dangers of sin and hell. The publishing assumes that all readers already agree with the faith and do not need reinforcement or instruction. There is also always requests for money, and offers from religious orders to join up. Only once did a newspaper cover the Traditional latin mass, and that was when an archbishop visited the church I used to go to, so that was interesting and a real article, but outside of any real thing to do with the church there is nothing, so I don't buy anymore.

  • I don't read the Vatican II newspapers. In my diocese, the local newspaper is called "The Tablet". I wouldn't expect to find the faith there, only apostasy.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  •  :reading:The local novus ordo diocesan newspaper is commonly known as The Long Island Heretic!  (Real name is The Long Island Catholic.)  Look in the ad pages for nuns advertising their services as Reiki masters!  You can find everything except the Catholic Faith in its pages.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.
