  • I thought he was Catholic?  I turned it off after he told everyone that they are going to Heaven--maybe he regroups afterward?

  • I saw, last year, an episode of a new techno-thriller TV series he stars in.

He was fine in it but it contains all the usual, usual hot button PC crap Hollywood insists on insinuating into movies and television shows, so I haven't bothered since.

  • Yeah, something tells me, if he was Catholic, he isn't Catholic anymore.

Yes, and the very Protestanty assurance about how merciful God is.

Why would he go to a heretical, I mean evangelical get-together?

    Unless he's "Francis-Catholic".

  • .

I thought his description of his condition during the filming and of the experiences he had were interesting.

He says here that when the shooting was completed he went in for heart surgery, and that he had been medically close to death while the Crucifixion was being filmed.

  • I thought it was a more or less secular catholic gathering.
Anyone can get to heaven if Dutch Schultz can.
As they say "we are not saints because we do not want to be" and he did emphasize that if you're going to be a true Christian, you must  be willing to suffer. I've heard him talk a lot. He's more of a seed sower in his evangelism.  It's a pretty good method of converting otherwise self-righteous people. If the guy who played jesus tells you that you have to suffer for the love of Christ and you start looking into suffering for Christ,  guess where you end up? In the only faith that teaches you how to suffer for Christ.
    Matthew 6:34
" Be not therefore solicitous for to morrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof."
