  • It's basically an effeminate man.

There's no such thing as "metro" sexual. Just homosexual and heterosexual.

    "homo" means same
    "hetero" means different

Pray tell, what is a third option? The two options cover pretty much everything. Either you are sexually attracted to "the same" sex, or "the different" sex. Come to think of it, "Bisexual" makes sense too, because it means "two". And the prefix "a" means "without" so "asexual" makes sense.

But my rational brain cringes at the ridiculous term "metrosexual" -- I've heard of the TV show "Sex in the City"... but "sex WITH a city"?

I have no idea who came up with the term, or the concept. Perhaps a large corporation that sells things like body wash, manicure products and other female things, and thought it would be great if they could convince men to use them too.

Ah, but don't forget these globalist gender-mainstreamers who successfully invented a third, ahem, "option" officially in countries like Australia, Sweden, ... recently, for a "it" gender or whatever to be in these countries' passports and other official papers.

So indeed there's three "options" now in these countries, because they don't want to "discriminate" those who don't "feel" that they're male or female.

This was reported in some media, but I don't have any links at hand right now. Does anybody still recognize what I'm trying to express helplessly about a topic which makes me feel like I was some Martian? (Ah, that would be a 4th option! Don't discriminate those who feel to be Martians...)

For sure Satan must laugh oneself to death in these wicked times.
It's like Sodom & Gomorrah version 2. So then, also God's answer will be a version 2.

  • "When David Reimer was born in 1965, he looked exactly like his identical twin brother, Brian — until his circumcision was botched at birth, and his entire penis had to be amputated. Dr. John Money, a sexologist at Johns Hopkins known for conducting audacious human experiments, heard of the mishap and jetted in. With David now neither anatomically male nor female (and his identical twin providing the perfect control group), Money saw an opportunity to prove his theory that gender was entirely a cultural construct. He convinced David's parents to give him sex-reassignment surgery and raise him as a girl named Brenda. In the following years, under Dr. Money's supervision, Brenda appeared to take to femininity naturally, completely unaware he'd ever been male."

  • Spouse of Jesus had the best post on this subject ever:

    Quote from: Spouse of Jesus
"They are going to make us a colony IMO. most youths are attracted to those "isms".
30 yrs ago, bread, mustache and jealousness over your marriage were things that any men could be proud of. Marrying someone much shorter and more delicate than yourself was a glory for grooms.
They loved this contrast, they loved to take photos of a huge manly hand giving the wedding ring to a delicate fragile one.
Now, under the influence of liberal self help and marriage help books, that are translated and published here alot, people are looking at these values as barbarism and tyrrany. they try to eliminate any difference between husbands and wives, saying that much similarity is necessary for mutual understanding!
The number of men who pluck their eyebrows, use golden necklaces and colorful shirst is growing fastly.
My grandmother says that in the old time there was a proverb like this:"masculinity is an ornament in itself, wrinkles and white hair give glory to an old man, he never needs any other thing to make him beautiful"
Good old days are gone unfortunately.

  • "Money instantly became famous for proving that gender was merely a state of mind. The number of sex-change surgeries skyrocketed, and feminists trumpeted the experiment as proof that women were equal to men. But as she got older, Brenda was plagued with confusion. She couldn't put her finger on why, but she knew she felt like a boy. By age fourteen, her voice was deepening and her features were becoming masculine. She related to boys as friends and felt sexually attracted to girls. But Dr. Money had stopped following her development. Brenda grew up and fell out of the public eye, the widespread belief that gender was non-biological firmly in place."

  • I don't know if I've  ever agreed with Clare on anything, but the first thing I thought (even before reading her post) was that there  have always  been dandies.

Now that even 'middle' class Westerners are essentially gentry (economically) they're putting on dandyish airs.

  • "Money’s misrepresentations of his findings and his unreported failure with David Reimer have led more or less directly to the surgical reassignment of thousands of infants as a matter of policy at many medical institutions. Money’s ideas have also influenced many teens and adults to try to address their psychological gender-identity confusion with drastic sexual reassignment surgery."

  • Well it started out as a marketing idea for male beauty products/services, but it has become so much more.

The entire idea is about breaking down manhood and it leads to blurry lines and sympathy towards homosexuality.  It tries to show the straight man why gay behaviors are fun.

I've noticed that in just the last 5-6 years there has been a major softening towards homosexuals coming from otherwise manly and straight men.  Guys I went to high school with who used to say gay (and other slurs) in a condescending way, are now saying things like "I don't care what two dudes do in their private lives.". It's astonishing.

In Minnesota we are facing a big vote over whether to change the constitution to define marriage as one man/one woman.  I've seen far more signs against it (despite the F-150 with a dear carcass in the driveway) vs. those supporting traditional marriage.  No one cares if you're gay anymore. They all want hedonism.

    God certainly cares...

  • "October 22, 2007 - The Fatherhood Foundation in New South Wales (NSW) has recently published 21 Reasons Why Gender Matters.

The study is based upon four foundational principles: 1. Gender differences exist; 2. Acknowledging gender differences is the only intellectually honest response to this reality; 3. Gender differences are complementary; 4. Gender disorientation exists in a small minority of individuals. It is not normative and should not drive social policies.
The 21 reasons are summarized below:

Gender uniqueness and complementarity means that each gender has a unique contribution that can't be filled by the other.
Acknowledging gender differences helps children learn more effectively.
Men and women are happier when they recognize these gender differences.
The masculine gender is an essential ingredient for fatherhood.
The feminine gender is an essential ingredient for motherhood.
Marriage is the best way for men and women to enjoy complementarity.
Gender complementarity in a life-long marriage is essential for the continuation of humanity.
Gender complementarity in marriage is needed for a healthy, stable society.
Gender complementarity in marriage between a man and woman is good for the economy.
Marriage between a man and woman is the foundation of a successful family and best way to protect children.
Gender complementarity in marriage is the best way to teach children about the value of gender.
Gender is important in understanding the significance of manhood.
Gender is important in understanding the significance of womanhood.
In healthy societies, gender complementarity is celebrated; societies rejecting this face harmful consequences.
Healthy gender development prevents individuals from developing compulsive obsessive disorders leading to sexual addiction and other pathologies.
Gender disorientation pathology is a symptom of family dysfunction, personality disorder, father absence, health malfunction or sexual abuse.
Gender disorientation pathology will lead to increased levels of drug abuse and partner violence.
Gender disorientation pathology will increase the risk of communicable disease and bad health.
Gender disorientation pathology will decrease life expectancy.
Gender disorientation pathology is preventable and treatable.
Gender disorientation pathology encourages the sexual and psychological exploitation of children.
The study concludes with a list of 20 public policy responses to gender disorientation pathology.

The authors note: "Given the importance of the two genders, it is imperative to promote heterosexual marriage and the biological two-parent family. The evidence makes it clear that these two institutions provide the best environment for individuals, for societies, and for children.""

  • Marcelino,  didn't " Brenda" commit suicide?

That was a good post Spouse had.

Pop psychology is definitely contributes as it feeds the belief that matrimonial harmony requires gender neutralizing. Its success is reflected in the divorce rate.
