My children received gist tickets from someone related. It's tickets for the lion king musicals. After watching some video about it on youtube. I was horrified, and refused they go. My wife don't see anything wrong with people dressed like they where nacked, very tight same body color: it's human body and God created it, and it ballait dance ...  Children are under 8. Some stuff seem like love story, I don't think my kids need to see love story at that age. Also it look like there is some idolatry of some kinda puppet, and murder. There is also animal costume, it seem the person is doing bestiality (sex with animal) with that animal. I am sorry for the video  video opening. If you can tell what you see. Maybe there is other bad thing in it too.  I want to teach them modesty, chastity, but if I was small (even as adult now) seeing adult dancing that look naked, I would be troubled. I am sure there other kinda show they can find that is more suitable, do you have advices? Thanks.

I find that most musicals today are to promote immorality. Anymore, the arts is trash which mocks Christianity.  By taking the children to live theatre also sparks interest in taking part of musicals and shows.  It grooms them to pride and future abuse. 

My sister is obsessed with theatre which is most sodomites.  My one niece went to school for performing arts then headed to community college. 

I used to have a relative who regularly invited me to attend musical theater with her, once or twice a year.  I used to like it.

I'm not sure if it became worse or if my conscience became more sensitive but I became more and more uncomfortable with it and finally had to stop. For one thing, I noticed that virtually every show, even some for children, either overtly or subtly promoted sodomy.  At the very least, clothing is likely to be immodest.

Something more suitable might be a production of the ballet "Nutcracker".  Even then, you would need to be cautious.

Find a family friendly community theatre that does old plays.  They won't be as big and fancy, or expensive, as the major productions, but they will be more wholesome.  
You may have to drive a bit to attend, but that is better in the long run because your children won't ask to become actors.

It's unfortunate that nearly everything that's considered to be entertainment these days has to be suspected as being tainted with immorality. But that's just how it is. 

I know that I often have hopes that a film won't have anything objectionable, but more often than not, it does. 

I was fortunate to have a little local theatre that for the most part only had family-friendly plays (protestant theatre), that my sons and I volunteered at many years ago (when I was homeschooling), before I converted. I haven't been there for many years now since I converted, but they are still in business. 

Clothing, on or off stage, should not be revealing (males and females both).

We lead by example and attending ballet shows support of it, which we cannot do.

It is good it does not tempt you to sin but it tempts others, and children are scandalized by it.

You could probably sell the tickets online. I've never done that so I don't know it works. I assume it works like Ebay.   You could use the money to buy your children a better gift or take them to the zoo.
