  • The last known member of the Cristeros force that fought against Mexico's anti-Catholic regime has died.

    Juan Daniel Macias Villegas, who was 103 years old, was buried in his home town of San Julian. The 'Cristero National Guard,' a group dedicated to preserving the memory of the Catholic rebels, led his funeral procession.

  • Pray for the soul of this good man. Perhaps the Bishops of Mexico have some of his fire, for Pope Francis was angry towards them in a speech such that he went off script, suggesting they needed 'renewal.' I hope there will be like of the Cristeros among us to resist future coming persecutions.
