So, it was what, never struck before? You'd think it would be struck by lightening 10 times a year, since it's on top of a mountain. Imagine you're a cloud or an electrical static charge in the atmosphere -- you'd say, "Hey, that looks like a lightening rod to me!!"

I seriously doubt it. It is a tall statue on top of a mountain. It is probably struck by lighting several times a year, if not more often.

It is probably best if we let God make His presence known (if He wills it) rather than going around searching for signs.

Built in 1931. Damaged 2008 and 2014 by lightning
