Hugh AKins had a great talk on this, was for awhile at Spirit of Chartres site, down now, though likely could be found out there or ordered.....ALso, catholicism.org has good articles on this, though for some, this is likely aking ot liberal, race-hating, hispanic worshipping, jewsih multi-culturalism..

he blames several reasons for this hidden 128 yrs, after 1492, before 1620:
-Protestant and Masonic nature of USA
-arrogance and domination of Protestantism in history and culture of USA
-AMericanism

Notes the wide spread of faith in what is now Mexico, the AMericas and most of what is now USA....plus, Canada,etc..

spiked by Prots.

Gary Potter and others note that in Catholic territories, slavery was peacefully ended (save haiti) and race relations were largely peaceful, united by the Fide.

Granted, today, those race relations undermined by liberal, academic and UN types that are stirring up hatred an arivival of Aztec religions,etc....Castro did same thing in Cuba, stirring up blacks vs whites,etc....communistic technique. Know a guy, smuggled out at age 6 months, notes this, that there was very little race/ethnic clashs in pre-Castro Cuba........again, united by the Fide.....race as not first, but Faith.......
