    • I agree with others, DVD's are the way to go, especially if they're educational.

    I wouldn't give another thought about your family pressuring you. Truly, it's none of their business. You were the one appointed as the head of your family by God to lead your children in paths of holiness, and if you feel your children don't need to be watching TV, your decision should be respected. end of story.

    Be careful with YouTube.
    The things you're OK with them watching are just a few clicks apart from the things you don't want them watching. And, they get the suggested video images on the side whether you watch them or not.
    A YouTube downloader is a good option. There's plenty of good things on YouTube, but watching online is not a good idea.


    Ditto to what Mater said.  And sometimes the suggested video images on the side can be offensive.  Also, youtube sometimes does have commercials.

    when I said family I meant my wife and kids, I couldn't care less whatthe in laws think, as for you tube i can watch on Roku with none of the advertising on the side as when you watch on computer, Andy Griffith show I think is watchable, I will try some of the other suggestions from here also
