I just saw a video clip where a feminist woman (with dyed hair) complained that talking about female genitalia is "taboo". She is suggesting it's institutional misogyny or something, which we need to get past because after all "half the world has one -- let's talk about it like we talk about any other body part!"
A taboo is defined as an unreasonable restriction, something one should "get over" in 100% of cases. (That might not be the official definition or denotation, but the word AT LEAST has that connotation.) Taboos are meant to be broken.
Yeah, we should talk about our nether regions to strangers, co-workers, etc. as casually and openly as we talk about what we had for lunch, or what we saw on TV last night.
IDIOT!
It's not just "taboo" -- there used to be this thing called DECENCY and POLITE SOCIETY. Unless you're completely rude and uncouth, you don't talk about your nether regions, or lowest bodily functions with strangers in public. That used to be common sense. Apparently not anymore!
It's about MODESTY and DECENCY. Apparently the world has completely lost sight of these concepts. The world has become like a 3 or 4 year old with no sense of shame or propriety, saying "I JUST FARTED, MOMMY" at full volume in the middle of a crowded store. Pathetic!
Is this where the Left is at? They are that infantilized, that they want to throw out all decency and modesty?
