No matter how good it sounds on paper, I would steer clear of something if it's not traditional.
The Catholic Faith is not about novelty or coming up with The Next Big Thing -- or The Next Big Devotion.
Steady as she goes, boring, slow and steady, "if it was good enough for my Grandpa it's good enough for me" -- those are the order of the day for Catholics.
I know we're American, many of us European, and so invention is in our blood. But this desire for novelty, improvement, and exploration must not be applied to matters of religion. The closest thing would be writing a Catholic book -- there's an outlet for your creativity. But as for all our other spiritual needs -- we should strive to be like our Great Grandparents. Not come up with things they wouldn't recognize or things they would be *the least bit uncomfortable* about.
