This is to be expected -- the "large family" is practically unknown in Japan.

At least in America we immigrants, fundamentalists/Mormons, and a smattering of Traditional Catholic families here and there.

Japan has none of the above. They have bought into the "American Dream" to a degree that would make an American blush.
