  • So I've recently had enough with Protestants. They are literally the dumbest species on the planet. But not only did I realize how astoundingly dumb Protestantism is but I also found myself sympathizing with atheism!

Think about it, the Church on a slow spiral down and the doubters have nothing but Protestants to "enlighten" them. Do you honestly think you'd believe in God if the best God had to offer was those Pentecostals who sit on the floor and babel like babies, claiming it's the holy spirit?

Not to mention how they call the Church evil and then proceed to use a book written by it to justify their stupidity. Then they have the audacity to rip out any book that they don't like.

Seriously if I wasn't a Trad Catholic (thank God that I am) I'd be a die hard atheist. Protestants are just too dumb.

  • If you think Protestants are the dumbest, you haven't run into neo-pagans yet.

We have all debated Protestants and atheists.   Atheists usually just end up insulting you. You answer a Protestant's question and in a few days they will ask the same question all over again.  Not only that, but they will think it's a real gotcha question.

  •  Speaking of Protestants, I notice all their responses to any answer are canned, one who speaks to them often enough knows exactly what they will say next.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • Thank God for Cardinal Manning.  Convert from Anglicanism.  He wrote so sympathetic of them and eloquent that they converted.

  • Save your sympathy for the agnostics and heretics--they'll need all you have and much more.  At least they are positive in the sense that they are searching for answers.  Atheists are nihilists, trying to drag the rest of them down with them.  Why? Almost always, because they seek control, and are opposed (very properly) by the all religious.

It also amuses me they call the Church evil and then proceed to use a book written by it to justify their stupidity. It is very easy to debate Protestants by just asking them really good Biblical questions. They will not answers good Biblical questions even though they claim to believe the Bible. I guess the Bible is too Catholic for them after all.   :sign-surrender:

I've personally encountered more intelligent debate from the Atheist side of things, rather than the protestant side of things. It's also noteworthy that I'm related to a bunch of different protestants and they are always the most passive aggressive dingbats. Sure I've encounter stupid Atheists but it's always far more productive, in my experience debating with an atheist.

Protestants aren't searching for answers and it would require much more intelligence to become an atheist  than a Protestant (simply because there are so many holes in the concept) and I think that if many of these atheists were introduced to Traditional Catholicism, they may sing a different tune.

Atheism (along with Judaism) is associated with Communism. I think Protestant clergy is dog**** but at least they believe in something however wrong-headed it is.

Belief doesn't warrant merit, thus the whole point to the subjective free will humans possess. God doesn't want dogs who follow him blindly (and in the Protestants case, follow wrongly) he wants humans who understand why they believe. Our purpose on this earth is to love Him, know Him and serve him forever in heaven. Protestants have shown they don't love him by abandoning his Church out of pride, they don't serve obviously, and they certainly don't know him. All of those things stem back to the same reason. They abandoned him so they could all play whatever they want to. Atheists are often dumb, but I've found more atheists open to the idea of God's existence then I've found protestants recognizing the error of their ways. Again that's just my experience but the way I see it, Atheists generally have never been a part of the Church and therefore are ignorant of Gods majesty. Protestants have been in the Church, and got to know God's glory and what did they do? They left so they could fornicate as priests and blame all the worlds issues on us. This is my opinion but I think Protestantism is worse because they are traitors, plain and simple.

  • some protestants like the fundies, my sister is one, have the KJV as their source, and that is what they will always have. They also believe it word for word as literally true. So at least there is continuity in their faith because of incorruptibility. They will never use anything other than the authorized 1611 KJV. No other editions are allowed. And at least they believe the bible. when they do missionary work, they defend their positions by staying that they believe in the words in their bible, no matter what science says. they are consistent(although they must deny science to do it).
i became  a sedevacantist. i don't take all parts of the bible literally because even the ancient fathers do not, and i use augustines dictum that there can be no conflict between faith and reason.

  • My primary issue with proddies is that they've replaced the sacraments with feelings. If the truth needs to be felt at all times, then they must continually drown out the objective reality that normally demands an honest approach with "positive thinking". "Once saved always saved" no more is required! Easy buttons galore. They tend to be some of the most masterful emotional manipulators as a result. It's no wonder how nearly indistinguishable a modern "evangelist" is from a common ambush salesman/woman!
