Swift blasphemy in Brazil

Branching off to Brazil from another recent topic here (https://www.cathinfo.com/crisis-in-the-church/ireland's-rebellion-against-god/msg912439/#msg912439)

Giovanni Berto & any other Brazilians, are there no protests? Business as usual? People too much into just getting by day to day to notice or care? From the website of the organization that manages the monument, it's unclear who exactly is in charge of it; the website does include the requisite ecuмenical interreligious gibberish. Yet somebody had to decide and sign off that this publicity stunt was OK.

The update is that the remaining Rio concert dates have been canceled due to extremely high temperatures, causing a 23 y.o. attendee to die from heat stroke on the tour's first night. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/taylor-swift-fan-details-scorching-sauna-like-conditions-brazil-show-23-year-old-dead

Another no-talent clown getting rich and famous after undoubtedly having "sold her soul" to the devil ... so it's time to pay back some of the debt by doing the devil's work.

I have not heard anything about protests.

As far as I know, the Rio de Janeiro diocese is in charge of the statue.

If I am not mistaken, there have been many similar things done with Our Lord's famous statue.

Rio de Janeiro is the least Catholic state in Brazil, and the capital city, Rio de Janeiro, is very cosmopolitan. I don't really expect any protests to happen.

Certainly witchcraft must be involved because otherwise her immense popularity cannot be attributed to talent.

There you have it:

Quote

The action was made in collaboration with Christ The Redeemer Sanctuary, which promoted a charitable act in reference to the World Day of The Poor, instituted by Pope Francis on the date of November 19th.

Father Omar, the sanctuary's Rector, was begged by Taylor Swift fans, and got personally involved in the project.
