• An alarming new online survey found that national pride is falling among the next generation.
The survey, conducted by polling firm YouGov, reveals that many members of the younger generation (under 38 -- Generation Z and millennials) do not identify with patriotism or American exceptionalism.
The Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness, which sponsored the survey, highlighted some key findings, including that 46 percent of respondents do not agree that America is the greatest country in the world, half believe the country is sexist (50 percent) and racist (49 percent), and 47 percent say America's future should be driven by socialism over capitalism.
Other findings include:
Quote
- 38% of younger Americans do not agree that “America has a history that we should be proud of”
- One in eight (14%) of millennials agree that “America was never a great country and it never will be”
- 46% of younger Americans  agree that “America is more racist than other countries”
- 84% of Americans do not know the specific rights enumerated in the First Amendment
- 19% of millennials believe that the American flag is “a sign of intolerance and hatred”
- 44% of younger Americans believe Barack Obama had a “bigger impact” on America than George Washington

For the survey, 1,078 Americans were contacted between October 23-29, including 100 Americans age 14-17 and 107 Americans age 18-21. Responses were balanced for generation, gender and census regions.
On the release of the report, Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness founder Nick Adams, lamented what he called "an epidemic of anti-Americanism."
"That half of millennials and Gen Z believe that the country in which they live is both ‘racist’ and ‘sexist’ shows that we have a major fraction of an entire generation that has been indoctrinated by teachers starting in grade school that America is what’s wrong with the world," Adams said.
Campus Reform editor-in-chief Lawrence Jones reacted to the survey on "Fox & Friends."

• This is disgusting and quite scary.

This is the future of America.

Someday, these ideas about America are going to be put into practice. For example, if it came up for a vote Should the USA surrender its sovereignty to the U.N.? Those who think America is racist, sexist trash are going to be inclined to "make good" or "make it right" by voting YES.

Ideas matter. This is not just some intellectual useless opinion these youngsters are holding. This opinion they have about America will inform their voting decisions, etc.

Stuff like this has me convinced it would be better to keep your children home schooled, even if you knew for a fact (at the outset) that they would only end up with a 4th grade education, AND their future careers/incomes would forever match that level of education. (of course, that is a lot to assume -- an extremely pessimistic worst-case scenario -- but I'm making a point here)

Some things are worth more than money. Some things are worth dying for. Among these things are Freedom, and the minds and souls of our children!

This isn't about promoting America, it's about attacking the nonsense these children believe with religious zeal. If they were being taught that Catholic monarchy was better, I'd be with them. But no. These children want the U.N., they want globalism, they want leftism, they want rights for perverts, they want "the gender spectrum", they want affirmative action, they want moral relativism, they want socialism (and/or communism). They are morons who don't know their history, so they are doomed to repeat it.

• You got to remember that most of these young Americans are Hispanic immigrants and young African Americans who have been taught to hate America and white people all their lives.

• Sister Lucia of Fatima in 1946 said that the whole world would become communist

While he was the pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ludlow, Massachusetts, I spent some time with Fr. Manuel Rocha, the interpreter selected for Mr. William Thomas Walsh, who wrote perhaps the most popular book on Fatima. Fr. Rocha told me that one of the questions Mr. Walsh asked him to translate to Sister Lucia during a three hour interview on the afternoon of July 15, 1946, while she was still Sister Maria das Dores, a Dorothean Sister at Vilar near Porto, Portugal, was asked; In your opinion, will every country, without exception, be overcome by communism? Her pale brown eyes staring into his, a little dimple on each cheek, she answered, Yes. Fr. Rocha related to me that Mr. Walsh wanted to be positive about the answer and therefore repeated the question adding, And does that mean the United States of America too?  Sister Lucia answered, Yes.
