Surgeon: Abortion Ups Breast Cancer Risk, Pregnancy Helps Lower It

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A prominent breast cancer surgeon and professor has written a new article for a medical publication saying that abortion increases a woman's risk of contracting breast cancer. On the other hand, miscarriage has no effect while a full-term pregnancy lowers the breast cancer risk.

My mother died of breast cancer in 1994 at the age of 45. I found out after she died, that she'd had 3 abortions in her lifetime. She was another victim of the "sɛҳuąƖ revolution."

Did she repent of the abortions?

Just curious. I have not heard of anyone who had an abortion later repenting, though that might be a good story to give women hope.

No. She was not raised Catholic, but Orthodox. She left that church in her teens and became immersed in the late 1960's in the drug / rock music / hippie culture. That eventually segued into the New Age, superstition, Eastern religion type of thing.

I only found out about the abortions because my father had seen her medical papers and death certificate after she'd died. He told me that he hadn't known about 3, that he'd only known about 1. :cry:

I hadn't known about any.

I wanted to add that the poor babies were innocent victims of this filthy revoltion (as we all know). I didn't want to just leave it that my mother was a "victim."

I'm sorry to hear that Mrs. Z.

But women should keep in mind that they can be forgiven for abortion, as long as they repent. It will be hard for them once they wake up and realize what they've done but God is forgiving.

Catholics are so hard on abortion, necessarily, that it would tend to make women who had one defiant. But women have been propagandized since birth and many don't even know what they're doing is wrong.

Telesphorus posted a good sermon today from St. John Chrysostom saying that almost any sin can be forgiven. I'd say that ANY sin can be forgiven that we commit before we know Christ, except of course ѕυιcιdє.

St. Paul participated in the murder of Christians, at the very least condoned these murders. I myself did immoral things, things that now appear to me as gross and nauseating, and I have no idea how I could have even done them. But I was ignorant. I lived as the Romans lived, and very easily could have participated in an abortion, though it never came to that.
