Chances are I may be overthinking this or overanalyzing here but why is it among people that only a "dark"/"goth" subculture exists and never once emerged a popular "light" subculture to rival it?
For example when the satanic goth subculture that encouraged rebelliousness and portrays chaoticness as cool emerged I'm surprised there emerged no "light" subculture to counter it at all. The people of "the world" may think that dark is cool but never think that light is. For them in subculture its either "grey" or "black".
Upon analysis could people's mindsets being like this subconsciously mean or reflect something? "Darkness" such as goth or emo is seen as cool and edgy nowadays by people in culture but "light" if it even exists as a genre almost never gains a popular following by the people.
I might just be overthinking this. Thoughts? It seems "light" which is supposed to mean truth is not very popular among people subconsciously as a concept in this world. The "dark" as a concept is seen as "freedom" and tends to be more popular, while "light" as a concept is seen as rigid and oppressive.
Is it as the bible says that the people of this world hate the light(truth) and love the dark? Maybe this abundance between dark-light subsconsciously in people today reflects on this?
