  • I was wondering what sorts of interactions you have had with your family members regarding the COVID Shot.  Did they take the shot? Are you allowed to see them?  Do you want to see them? Do you have to take certain precautions around them?  Do you get the usual lectures and clarifications about what the real truth is behind the shot and its purpose and effectiveness?

  • I have interactions with my family. They took the shots and they still wear masks. They believe everything the cdc and Fauci say.

They want me to get the shot.  When I present them with the truth and facts, they say it is fake news.  The shot and mask are the new religion.

When I go to a store with my father he is wearing mask while I am not.  He wears the mask while driving his car and while he takes his walks with me.  I make him take it off.

My mom is a germophobe before covid 19

My sister is.  We stayed a couple of days last year down the shore in a hotel room together with no masks or shot.  Now she has had the shot and wears the mask more than ever.  She made my nieces get the shot before the cdc gave the ok.

The only thing I worry about is shedding. I didn’t hang out with them for a couple of months because I worry about my husband or pregnant women at church.  I often wonder about shedding after hanging with them.
May God bless you and keep you

  • I am in a location 3000 kms (at least) from the closest family members so Idon’t have any contact in person.

All my progeny are firmly against ALL vaccinations and of course would never get the jab unless they were knocked out first. For this I am grateful to God.

On the other hand all my siblings and siblings in laws, and my husband’s family strictly follow convention, trust the government and doctors, and firmly believe our family to be nutjobs.

When CÖVÌD first appeared I stated my beliefs by sending information in the form of a video. This angered them each, one responding in their own unique inimical style. and, so I got myself further alienated from family. Now we rarely talk. One brother had treatment for cancer and then immediately went out and got the jab. He has probably had the second by now. I held my tongue. He doesn’t want or respect my opinion.

My only sister I questioned and she saidshe doesn’t want it, but wouldtake it if she had to to travel to see her two daughters and her grand children.

The rest of them: I have no idea whether or not they have made any adjustments in their thinking, but I think if they had I would have heard about it, and I haven’t.

    Nothing else to report.

    This is a great topic!

  • Thanks Nadir.  It comes from recent interactions of my own which I'm still trying to process.  So, I thought hearing about others' experiences would be helpful.

  • Mixed over here.  Of course I haven't taken it, neither has my mom, or most of my family but unfortunately some of them have (Sister, one Aunt, one Uncle, and maybe others but I don't know yet.)

It hasn't broken up the family or anything yet but it's just a matter of time I'm sure.  Trying to be a devout Catholic has pretty much estranged me from most of my family anyway so I don't see them enough to argue with them or anything.

Haven't had any health issues or problems from being around my vaccinated sister when we occasionally meet up.
