Reclusive, not having given an interview since 1969 and not having spoken to Stan Lee in many years.
Some considered him the J.D. Salinger of comics. Just try to find a recent photograph of Steve Ditko online.
He was found dead in his Manhattan apartment June 29th, 2018; no cause of death has been announced.
