A few impressions:
1. I didn't get meaning of Father Ripperger's comment about the Catholic forums. It sounded like he was saying Catholics on the forums are naive?
No, he was referring to the virtue of many of the posters, or rather, the lack thereof. Despite my little quip on CI, he didn't mention any specific forum by name, but if I had to guess, what he was referring to was the amount of hubris and total lack of charity exhibited by many posters and/or the horrible advice many give out.
2. It's hard for me to agree with his comment about the new generation of militant priests. Where are they?
Growing up, every priest I knew was either an old man in dotage, or a flaming homo. Many priests I meet now, who are my age or younger, exhibit neither of those traits.
And don't tell me they're spiritually rising coming from Novus ordo Sacraments.
AFAIK, Fr. Ripperger is now an exorcist. It's my understanding that in order to perform an exorcism, the exorcist needs permission from whomever Bishop has authority over the possessed, otherwise, the demon just laughs at the exorcist. I wonder... if a
Novus Ordo priest arrives to perform an exorcist, does the possessed tell them to take a hike and send some traditional priest instead? Alternatively, how could any
Novus Ordo priest perform an exorcism unless he were a valid priest? Wouldn't the demon just laugh him away if he had neither the power nor the authority to perform the exorcism?
3. According to Father's description of Church de-generation and the increase in evil, the Chastisement will come sooner, rather than later.
The stats Fr. Ripperger gives at the beginning of his talk, if accurate, are stomach churning.
