Chapel veil: black or white?

I have all sorts of hats, veils, and scarves.  I even have a scarf in a lovely shade of green.

I think people have a tendency to worry too much about it, like you'd be out of uniform or something.

Women should just wear what is befitting for them, what they like, what is comfortable.

My particular favorite is a black lace veil I made for myself.  I also have a red hat that matches a coat I have for winter.  I also have black and brown hats, a black scarf with little pink flowers, a lovely brown paisley snood, and a few white lace mantillas that my oldest daughter has claimed for her own.

Last year, I saw a lady with an absolutely beautiful Spanish lace mantilla with an image of the Blessed Virgin.  Stunning.

Lots of lovely choices.

Just don't use toilet paper and watch what your children use.  Once when I was a child I was late getting ready for Mass, couldn't find my mantilla or a Kleenex so I grabbed some toilet paper as I rushed for the door.  My mother didn't notice until we were well into the Mass when she yanked it off my head and handed me a Kleenex!  At least we were sitting in the back of the church!
