  • I know that some people here hate the TFP, but despite being (Traditionalist) Conciliars, I found them to be "good people" overall, and none of the "Plinio worship" and and worship of Plinio's Mom is true, just a stupid smear job, originating from a group in Brazil that split off from them and actually ended up largely eclipsing the original group, "Heralds of the Gospel" I think they were called.  That one "litany" about Plinio and his Mom was clearly a hilarious satire by some mischievous students, along the lines of something I may have come up with (and did come up with for the goings on at our Novus Ordo church before I became a Traditional Catholic).

Bishop de Castro Mayer didn't are for them at the end, believing them to be anti-clerical, but I think that perspective comes from the fact that 99.999% of the "hierarchy" have betrayed Tradition and the Church.

  • Here it is.  I can't help but laugh every time I read this.  It's so over the top.  In fact, one TFP member actually did say it was a spoof done by students, precisely what I had concluded on my own before even hearing that later, and that Plinio himself tried to ban it from circulating among them.  I'll bold some of the terms that are so ludicrous that they're clearly mocking some of Plinio's catch-phrases.

    Dona Lucilia, pray for us.
    Manguinha, pray for us.
Mother of Dr. Plinio, pray for us.
Mother of the Doctor of the Church, pray for us.
Mother of our Father, pray for us.
Mother of the Ineffable, pray for us.
Mother of us all, pray for us.
Mother of the Axiological Principle, pray for us.
Mother of the Temperament of Synthesis, pray for us.
Mother of all purity, pray for us.
Mother of the Transphere, pray for us.
Mother of Seriousness, pray for us.
Mother of the Counter-Revolution, pray for us.

Gustavo Antônio Solimeo, in response to the condemnation from the bishop, admits its authenticity but considers it a folly of some younger TFP members, noting that it was prohibited by Corrêa de Oliveira in 1979.
