You sound novus Ordo to the max.
Yes. Jesus said go and sin no more. Were you not a former seminarian?
Mercy for the sodomites but zero mercy for victims of sex abuse.
You talk like Bergolio.
If this is "Novus Ordo" then I'd rather be Novus Ordo than Traditional Catholic. And what's even more appalling is that someone up-thumbed this atrocious comment.
I'm utterly appalled to the point that I have no words. I warn you right now that you are headed on a fast track to hell unless you wake up to the evil of our sentiments.
Ah, OK, so having compassion and withholding judgment on (people you have no proof of being) sodomites means having "zero mercy for victims of sex abuse". Are you out of your cotton-picking mind? Your Pharisaically-contaminated soul has led you to the edge of insanity.
Sodomy should be made illegal, and its practice punishable by law, and children protected by every means possible. BUT THESE ARE CONSIDERATIONS OF THE EXTERNAL FORUM. We nevertheless have compassion even on those who committed these crimes and pray for them to receive God's mercy. Nevertheless, we weren't talking about proven sodomites, but people who you JUDGED to be sodomites because, what?, they had effeminate tendencies or were praying the Rosary very loudly? Nor is having compassion for their souls mutually exclusive with having compassion for their victims. Statistics show that many (if not most) sodomites were actually "victims of sex abuse" themselves, and that damaged them badly. So which one do you have "mercy" on and which one do you not have "mercy" on, when the same person is both sodomite and victim? We have mercy on all.
While justice must be served in the external forum, it is always done with a heavy heart. That is why even as someone is being executed by the state, it's customary for the executioners to say "May God have mercy on your soul." and to provide a chance to speak with a priest, etc. NOBODY is excluded from God's mercy or compassion.
St. Therese famously prayed ardently for the conversion of a notorious murderer who was about to be executed. She prayed and prayed, and the man was executed. She later saw a news story where the man, shortly before his execution, asked for a crucifix to kiss and was overjoyed at her prayers being answered.
Sadly, Viva, Jorge Bergoglio could very well more esteemed in the eyes of God than you are with the attitudes that you've expressed here. Please wake up before you endanger and possibly lose you soul.
