  • I'm considering a month or so pilgrimage sometime within the next year.

Has anyone gone on pilgrimages by themselves? Where to? I'm thinking Rome. Sorry for the short post, not much for me to say.

St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us!

Yes, but not for a month!  I've made mini-pilgrimages to various Churches in Manhattan (NYC), stopping briefly to pray for specific intentions at each.  No reason why you couldn't outfit yourself for a month-long trek to a Holy place.  Why not, if you have the time and resources.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • It depends on what you want and how much money you have. Rome has plenty to offer, but don't go in the high season or during a conanisation.

I dream of one day going back to Turkey, esp Ephesus. If you can do it, do.
This may not be the best website (it is not Catholic) but the info is there to whet your appetite.

  • Oh  :faint: be still my heart, a month in ROME ! ! !

Or a month seeing all the apparition sites in France?

Or a month visiting the shrines in the US?

  • With a month you could see Rome and do a Franciscan pilgrimage, to the sites connected with his life. Ditto for St Benedict.
