Ireland has more and more lights it is told, and ditto for Canada...Many lights, changing colors spinning, abundance of lights, contests etc.  The Globullists are encouraging this to change Christmas in a secular  "Festival of Lights" from other religions, with Jesus disappearing. 25 years ago in front of a "Catholic" university, they had a crib setting, with many spotlights outside at the main entrance. I was so happy to see this, but as I approached I then realized the crib was EMPTY!!, and this was just after Christmas Day. I would guess that 3/4 of the population either hate Jesus, or prefer not to discuss religion. It is a good effort to show the Nativity Scene in the home, OUTSIDE too! The star also sends a powerful reminder to neighbors, passerbys. Holy Advent. +

How about a living nativity with real ox and ass, sheep, shepherds, the Holy Family, etc.  Manned round the clock?  Open to the public? 
Perhaps the butt-hurt neighbor could be appeased with real manure for his organic vegetable garden? 

The Green party of Ireland would never allow that today. You see an ox, a cow, is now condemned as a climate changer by way of its farts. Farmers are now being paid to kill cows and grow trees instead. 

Hello my fellow irish Catholic, and yes I'm in total agreement but it's very rich that these basics are rejected by that crowd (Green's) when recently the leader of that same party was interviewed by the national broadcaster and was showing symptoms of not been "right in the head"  - he ws rubbing his nose frantically, sweating and couldn't stand still, his eyes were bulging na dhe didn't blink. I know I'm subjective but this politician certainly irks me.

Now isn't that interesting. Only today, while chatting to a man during my walk in the local park, he told me it is known there is enough gold in Croagh Patrick mountain to wipe out the Irish dept. Is this true Croagh?

Sounds like a tall tale. There are lots of legends about hidden gold. It's just something people find entertaining.

I forgot to say the man told me it was the Catholic Church that would not allow mining on Croagh Patrick because it was a mountain of pilgrimage. There must have been gold miners in Ireland too so maybe they found a bit there after St Patrick fasted on that mountain. Ireland has lots of gas and oil off its west coast but the greens, who are needed to keep a coalition government in power are anti fossil fuels so will not allow Ireland to benefit from deposits arranged by God for man's use and benefit.

Yes, California is the same way. There was a gold rush here in 1848 and people made fortunes. There is also a vast amount of oil that was drilled in the early 20th century and after World War 2. But everything has been shut down by the greenies, or the watermelons as I like to to call them (green on the outside, red on the inside).

I knew a man who worked at one of the last gold mines in California, and he said they have to be constantly pumping water out of the mine, just from seepage that flows into the mine tunnels. But -- get this -- they can't just pump the water out and dump it outside the mine somewhere. They have to purify it so clean that it can be drunk by a human being, and then they have to sprinkle it on forest trees above ground. Just imagine the cost of doing that to all the muddy water that's constantly seeping into those tunnels deep underground.

They would take gold ore out and refine it, but the green regulations in California would not allow them to refine anything but the purest ore. So, my friend's job was to get the lower-grade ore and drive it out to Nevada, the next state over, where they don't have the same regulations, and sell it to a gold mine there that was able to process it.

The green revolution is an attack on all of human activity, and therefore on human life itself.

There may be substance to that statement. If I remember correctly there was an application for a licence to drill for gold in Croagh Padraig sometime in the late eighties or early nineties from "Glencar Resources", but there was such a furore that the county council refused it. I can ask my brother as he was attending school at that time in Islandeaddy, Westport (the closest town to "The Reek" which is it's colloquiall name) which was been run by God Rest him Fr Wilthers.

Cassini, I still see a glimmer of hope with what has happened in Ireland recently especially with the anti - immigrant stance, people may be starting to open their eyes. We can discuss if needs be, as I'm always  optimistic (glass half full) and also, I would like to discuss an initiative to promote the Rosary around my country and any other place globally. I have a Rosary poem which I have printed with a background picture of Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette Soubirous  - It was printed on my grandmothers memoriam card and it is truly beautiful.
