  • I don't normally 'scroll' social media but recently I tried the "for you" tab on x (twitter), and I have to say it's really negative on the mind. Lot's of bad brainwashed non-Catholic takes on things, suggestive impurity, randomly nonsense and a lot of other crap. I didn't even find the 'content' entertaining, it was just a waste of time. How do people do this all day every day? I can see why it's addictive though, that recent video here on CI about the skinner box was true.

  • CathInfo is as close to social media as I come. Yes, I guess I scroll through the most recent post titles to see what’s there. Occasionally, I start a thread. What’s listed is the same for everyone. I don’t think Matthew customizes it for each member.  That way, I choose what to read.
My only “suggested for you” are from YouTube. Sometimes they’ll suggest something of interest to me. As for getting it way off, like porn, celebrity gossip, or gaming, that almost never occurs. I get a lot of suggestions for videos I’ve already seen. People repost docuмentaries as if new, but they’re not.
When it comes to internet searches, I much prefer the old internet of the late 90’s-early 00’s.
